About

You may be more than one color. And you may fit into more than one social group. Stray Syntax doesn’t care if you’re a hipster, a hip hopper,  or an anarchist. You are a young reader. That’s what matters. You check out books from the library for fun. Not school.

We write for you about books you already love & books you’ve never heard of. Unknown books starting off as strangers, only to go down as one of the greats by the last sentence. Stray Syntax isn’t looking for acceptance from elitist critics. Neither are readers like you. We know what’s good because we’ve read them and enjoyed them. We’re forever changed by books many haven’t heard of. And others that were under appreciated.

Aspiring writers can find a home here. Amongst other up & coming writers looking for a place to display their work. Words deemed experimental are welcomed here where the individual rises above the canon.

We’re rebel readers.
